Country/Pop just released. Sung by Shanna who also does my Jazz tune "Toddle Off To Dreamland". "D-O-A" is a tune about a girl who just can't seem to get it.
Had the germ of this tune kicking around for years until songwriting partner, Kim, got me off shied. Love how Shanna sells it, all about a girl who never can quite get it right.

D-O-A
I. Sonny was a natural lover.
Just a ragin' fire. We were
Burnin' up the covers. I said:
"We get much hotter, sugar,
We'll be committin' a crime."
Talkin' 'bout the law's kinda funny

Stealing from a honey.
Ten to twenty means it wasn't the first time.
Chorus: Just another love affair "D-O-A".
If I had to describe our love
Can't think of a better way.
"Baby, here's wishing' you well.
Just another lover and another motel,"
And it's just another love affair "D-O-A".
II. Billy made a livin' playing' poker.
He was a damn good lookin' and a practical joker.
Dark and tall'n always had something to say.
Billy was a real humdinger.
Guess you could say he was a swinger.
Catch your man with another man?
It can ruin your day.
Repeat Chorus:
III. Ain't a better man than Buddy.
He could be the guy if you're
Lookin' for a hubby.
You know he's good for a laugh
And a roll in the hay.
But Buddy said: "When you gonna get it ?
How many lovers will it take till you regret
Wakin' up in the morning'
Knowing that you gave it away?"
He said we're…
